This position is available in Milton Keynes.
The DSS Application Development team are responsible for several software products including train ticket vending machines and hotel check in kiosks.
A Scala developer is needed to assist with high demand on the team from clients to deliver enhancements to existing products and build future products.
Over the next 2-5 years the team will be undergoing a digital transformation, the change has already begun with a move to agile/scrum delivery and will continue. This will enable faster response to client needs and innovation within the team.
We are currently seeking new team members with a desire to work in an agile/scrum environment.
The role will primarily involve creating, maintaining and implementing source code for both existing products and as part of the development of new products.
The role will also involve working with the Technical Architect and Application Development Manager to provide estimates to the business and clients.
Key deliverables include:
